The Lesson

Demonstrate a complete lazy-vault over a hip-height wall that is of standard brick-length or less with no turning or twisting. You can enter and exit the vault at an angle, but you must be travelling in a straight line.

Example:

  1. Start with the wall to your left side.
  2. Place your left hand flat facing down on the wall using the palm.
  3. Swing the left leg over the wall.
  4. The right leg will follow around the wall.
  5. Push forwards and keep your hips facing the same direction.
  6. Place your right hand on the wall behind you as you pass over the wall for stability.
  7. Any landing is acceptable.

You must show three repetitions in each direction.

The wall must be hip-height or greater and of standard brick-length or less.

The inside leg must takeoff first.

You must travel in a straight line with both hands landing on the wall.

Details
The hands should be in a flat position, with the full palm touching. No steepled fingers or thumb tucked behind, raising the palm. Both hands must make contact with the wall.

Your orientation must be Start and Finish facing the same direction.

Your takeoff must be The inside leg closest to the obstacle
Momentum
Your momentum should be Stopped once you have taken off.
