Landing 05 – Ankle

    5️⃣ Tutorial Series – Landing – Ankle⠀
    ⠀
The angle of the ankle needs to be UP so that the pressure of the foot in the ball of the foot is down.⠀
    ⠀
A common injury is issues from landing incorrectly and the ankle stability is not strong enough to stop any collapse forward, backward or rolling to the sides. By keeping the ankle high you are tensing muscles to maintain the highest amount of stability.⠀
    ⠀
Any extreme angles of the ankle is going to put it at risk of tendon injury. Putting a high amount of force (from the jump/landing) through that extreme angle is then going to guarantee an injury. So negate that risk by keeping thee foot in a strong position.⠀
